Job Description


We are looking for someone to grow our core fundraising product. This is a great opportunity to help developers of all levels to grow and excel in their career. This role necessitates a technical leader who can help the teams deliver quality through clarifying goals, coaching, technical support, and hands-on work. Some people management, generating metrics, and admin work will be required. If we had to put an approximate split of the work it would be 30% hands-on, 30% project management, and 40% helping the team grow. 

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Work within one of several domains, helping teams build out the future of our products 

  • Work closely with product managers to plan out upcoming projects, and define quarterly OKRs Provide clarity to the team through goal setting and support 

  • Make sure quality, security, and monitoring is part of everything we do 

  • Help hire top quality talent 

  • Provide KPI metrics to upper management 

  • Work closely with the teams to make sure they have all that they need to be successful

 

Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years technical management experience 

  • 5+ years individual contributor experience or more across the full stack, preferably utilizing NodeJS Clear understanding of distributed system architectures vs monoliths 

  • Experience in full cycle development – from conception to ownership in production 

  • Experience with various monitoring tools and how to use the data to make improvements 

  • Continuous Delivery experience and deployment techniques such as blue/green releases, canary releases, etc 

  • Expert knowledge of Git, and Git best practices

Requirements

Management Responsibilities:
  • Managing the day-to-day or deliverables
  • Manages team needs, physical, mental, emotional, etc.
  • Works with US Delivery Manager to hire staff pertaining to skill
  • Hire for team fit and culture
  • Integrates team's into Snap! culture
  • Manages 1:1's with staff
  • Gathers technical feedback and delivery quality input from US Delivery Manager to provide appropriate feedback to location staff
  • Manages administrative pieces
  • Team Building
  • Set cost for clearly defined projects with a well-documented deliverable and timeline
  • T&M for maintenance (OpEx) work
  • T&M on ongoing work
