Our client is a new breed of consultancy that empowers brands to take control of their digital marketing. They provide consulting and services in the areas of performance marketing, optimization, training, data strategy, and analytics. The company is headquartered in New York, with offices in San Francisco and Portland, Oregon.
The Role As a Data Analyst, you will collaborate with senior team members to conduct data driven research through data mining and statistical techniques. Your goal will be to discover insights from client data sets to be used by our consultants and clients to make performance marketing decisions. You will have the opportunity to work in a highly collegial environment that emphasizes teaching and learning.
Core Responsibilities
  • Create and support ETL jobs pulling data from various source systems and loading into the data warehouse
  • Develop dashboards and general data visualization using Tableau
  • Conduct analysis across multiple data sources to identify key insights
  • Apply relevant analytical tools to improve overall customer segmentation, inform product and pricing decisions, and identify potential business opportunities
  • Constructing automated data profiling systems
  • Collaborate with key lines of business to understand needs and identify opportunities defining analytical problem statements to build strategy recommendations:
  • Experience presenting data findings to team members and business leadership


Requirements

Qualifications
  • Relational database knowledge: SQL, T-SQL
  • Experience with cloud data warehouse solutions preferred
  • Working understanding of dimensional data modeling
  • Experience with Tableau and Alteryx or similar data visualization and analytical toolkits 
  • Proficiency with ETL tools and methodologies
  • Understanding of digital marketing and retail preferred
  • Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff
  • Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university with consistent outstanding academic record; advanced degree or MBA is preferred
  • A solid team player who’s also an independent thinker
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Deadline-driven, organized and able to multitask
  • A robust analytical skill-set, endless curiosity and a penchant to think the impossible
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Experience in evaluating and designing processes to support management strategy in different functional areas such as marketing, sales, general management, and finance.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Offer
