At CoDev, we know just how incredibly blessed we are to have well-paying jobs with awesome benefits that allow us the many comforts we enjoy. We also know how important it is to give back to our community, and Christmas is one of the best times to share what we have with the less fortunate.
This year, CoDev reached out to our brothers and sisters in need in both our Cebu and Davao locations. Our team members donated time, money, and other resources to make the holiday season more joyful for the less fortunate.
Our Davao Outreach Program
Last November 25, our team in Davao reached out to the Love the Children Foundation. The team went to the community in Marapangi III, Toril in Davao City and handed out school supplies to each of the 47 indigenous children. They also played some games and had a feeding program.
Alfredo Aguado, the Davao Team Talent Manager who spearheaded the outreach program has this message: “CoDev fulfilled its promise and set the standard in helping the most vulnerable members of our society. Kindness and compassion should not only revolve within our CoDev members, it also makes sense to extend this to our community. This philosophy makes CoDev different from any other IT company. We believe helping others uplifts our morale. We are planning to make this a yearly tradition.”

Our Cebu Outreach Program
For the past 6 years, our Cebu office has made the Christmas season all the more special by reaching out to an inclusive community of children at the Naga Special Education Center. This year, we were able to help 189 individuals with disabilities (auditory, visual, and intellectual/learning) at the center. Our team of volunteers went to the center and played games, handed out gift boxes, and spent some quality time with the children, giving them a truly wonderful and memorable holiday experience.
CoDev’s VP of Business Development Kyle Clark and Chief Financial Officer Brent Wilde along with their wives were also present at the outreach event. They sponsored gift boxes for some of the kids and spent some time with them at the center.
Sales Development Supervisor and the leader of the Cebu outreach program, Pia Maunes had this message to everyone who supported the event: “We are forever grateful for the immeasurably valuable support you have given us for this year’s outreach activity last December 1, 2022, at Naga Special Education Center in Naga, Cebu where we got a very warm welcome from 190 children and 40+ parents and teachers. We are so grateful to have you on this journey and we hope you know the priceless impact you have had on the lives of so many ADHD, Blind, Deaf, and Children with Autism, Intellectual and Learning Disabilities, Cerebral Palsy, and Down Syndrome. Your support is essential, we could not do it without you. We look forward to teaming up with you again and continuing to make a tangible and unforgettable difference. Together, we can make the world a better place.”
